What is Sala Dancing? and how can I learn it?

Updated: Jan 4, 2023

The 1960s saw the rise of salsa dancing as a dance to accompany salsa music. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, it was predominantly created by Puerto Ricans and Cubans residing in New York. There are several diverse salsa styles, including Cuban, Puerto Rican, Colombian, and New York varieties, that are specific to different parts of Latin America and the United States (including Caribbean nations). Salsa dancing socials are frequently hosted outside, especially when they are a part of an outdoor festival, at nightclubs, bars, ballrooms, restaurants, and other public spaces.
